it takes so much to live in this world.
we all know that the world became a crazy place ever since the industrial age sped things up with technological advancements where factories, machineries and steam powered engines made everything go so much faster such that things got so out of control that bureaucracies sprout up like mushrooms because they were seen as the solution to getting things in order (or so they think). and then the information age comes on where privacy is a luxury, where the delete button doesnt work so there goes your hope and chance at ever forgetting your (shameful) past because the secrets could be dug out just because you're not smart enough to keep them locked away on a separate hard disk before sending your comp for repair, or where your view on the world and what goes on is determined by what you see and read from the mass media because in this age, media IS the way to get messages across to a mass audience hence the self- explanatory name but what people dont realise is that these very messages that they see or read have been screened and who knows altered even to suit the interests of those who have the power over the mediums to relay what THEY want to. therefore having a more critical mind so as not to so easily (and foolishly) believe whatever you see or read definitely does not hurt in this sadly twisted world.
but what i actually wanted to post about before i cldnt stop myself rambling on was how now, between men and beasts, you really cannot say for sure who the beast really is. because seriously, if we are unable to use what we have that make ourselves distinctly human beings (and not a beast / animal) in an actually useful way, then we really cant say that we are any different from animals, can we.
this doesnt make me feel any proud at being a human being
on another note,
i flunked the lit test so bad.
but i still enjoy doing lit ! :D
